Below are listed some useful software and platforms for the creation and editing of videos, animations, and infographics, as well as for allowing real-time interaction with the class.
The programs listed are intended as suggestions. Some require a license that the University currently does not possess, and furthermore, specific assistance and support for their use cannot be guaranteed.
Video
Avidemux: free software for video editing. Using this software, you can edit a video by adding audio tracks, cutting out unwanted parts, merging different videos, applying filters and effects, and adding titles and subtitles.

Bandicut: the free version of the software allows you to cut a video segment, divide a single video track into two or more videos, and merge multiple videos into a single track. A watermark of the program is placed at the beginning of every video segment created with this type of license.

HandBrake: free software for video file conversion and compression.
Animations and Infographics
Powtoon: software for creating animated videos and presentations through the editing of pre-created graphic elements. The free license allows for a maximum of 3 concurrent projects. Videos created with this type of license include the Powtoon watermark and cannot be downloaded, only published on a Powtoon page.
Canva: allows the creation of images, infographics, and videos starting from predefined templates.
Interactive classroom
Padlet: educational application that offers an empty space, a "wall", where multimedia content such as texts, images, videos, audio files, and links can be inserted. Students can be enabled to write on the Padlet wall. With the free account, a maximum of 3 collections can be created.
Miro: a useful tool for making online lectures, webinars, and online meetings in general dynamic. It is an interactive virtual whiteboard available in both a free version (maximum 3 editable boards and ready-made templates) and a paid version. It allows users to insert and share comments, mind maps, graphs, images, websites, multimedia content, and documents on a sort of board. It facilitates brainstorming sessions, also thanks to the presence of a timer and the ability to vote on a specific element.
Interactive maps and simulation models
Loopy: free tool for creating simulations and animated interactive maps composed of simple circles and arrows. It is an open-source web application that does not require registration. It allows saving the created models via a simple link, file, embed code, or GIF.
